We had our baby 4 months ago. She is growing great and a perfect addition to our family. The husband has this extended family that has not been too nice to us since the kid was born (he is 3 1/2 now). We saw them when he was about 3 months old and she told the husband how wonderful he looked (was on atkins at the time). She looks at me and says 'well, you look healthy'. Well, fuck you if i am not a skinny ass snob like you are (and my MIL). We were invited to their daughters bat mitzvah last year that was up in the poconos and the only reason why we went was because the husband wanted to do it with his parents/sister. They were suprised we said yes. Fine.
So, here we are. A family of 4 and not even a phone call since she has been here. No card, no gift. What I am saying is that there has not been any acknowledgement that we had a baby. But it turns out that they have been conversing with my in laws to make plans to see MY baby.
WHAT THE FUCK???? Our baby is not my inlaws baby. And now my fucking husband is bitching that we should have them over. WHAT? I dont know what to say to him. I explained just now that they havent acknowledged the baby or us in the past 5 years or so. I am not comfortable and it better be short if it is going to happen. Asshole.
