Last night after J went to bed I sat with the husband by his computer as he did his thing and I did mine. He was telling me about concerts he wanted to go to and I just ignored him and decide dto go upstairs to watch House or Law and Order.
I almost got through my entire show when I get an IM from him. The conversation went like this:
11:03:10 PM husband: can i go see TOOL with Rika
11:03:20 PM me: WHAT??
11:03:24 PM me: your kidding right?
11:03:28 PM husband: no
11:03:30 PM husband: ?
11:03:46 PM me: do i need to have this conversation?
11:03:53 PM husband: nobody is going to go with me
Rika is an old old friend of his and he probably would have jumped into bed with her if I wasnt in the picture many, many years ago. I couldnt believe that he actually had the nerve to even ask this. I stormed downstairs and stated that no one wants to go with him because all his other friends put their fiances/wifes first and anyone that has children wouldnt even consider going to a concert, especially with an old girl friend.
Everytime I have this conversation with him about how I dont want him going to concerts and then he realizes that no one will go, its always the same. He tells me that he has no life and that everyone else could be considered dead if they dont do things like this. I told him thats a choice they made and they actually like their life with family and less vacation, concerts, outings etc. I then reminded him that HE was the one thats been pushing for another kid and there is no way in hell he is leaving me with 2 kids to go to concerts and other stuff! and there is no way he will leave me with his parents to help either.
