Traveling with the kid

we are in Amish country at the moment for a weekend trip to Dutch wonderland. It was supposed to be a wonderful family weekend and once again, my husband and I are reminded how we hate to travel with this child.

We wake up a little late because the kid went to sleep late last night. No biggie. But when he starts to kick and h=oller at every little thing, you know the day is going to fall into that pattern. You know, the pattern of leading you to the path of hell?!! yea, that one. He was in a mood. After the two of us keep passing iff to the other we finally get him strapped into the car, although he was protesting, and start to drive. With a gazillion things plugged into the cigerette lighhter plug, the whole fuse blows. We are stuck at the side of the road tring to figure out how to find and replace the fuse so the kid can stop screaming for a movie, which, by the way, is supposed to keep him quiet. So instead he starts to scream for a cup. Great! So he finishes our cup reserves within the first hour into our drive.

At this point we decided to skip our first destination, the crayola factory, and leave it for the ride home. We get to our next destination and its a little petting farm and maize maze. It was really cool and really cute and it starts to pour! UGH

so we get to the hotel and its great! we go out to dinner and he ate great too. i mean, he must have been starving because he hasnt eaten all day. We decide to blow off steam at local shops and we get back to the rooom to get J down and I swear i think this kid is lucky that we didnt kill him tonight.

I hope it doesnt rain tomorrow and we have a good day. I am very stressed out and i need some sleep. I wish we were in our own bed right now. OH, ryan got j to sleep in our bed and when i came into the room to go to sleep, i didnt wantt o move him. I just wanted to cuddle right next to him and snuggle with my baby.
